Bedford Resident Trish Smith recently received the honor of being named Finalist by the Song of the Year (http://www.songoftheyear.com/) songwriting contest. Song of the year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year Judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award Winners.

Song of the Year is excited to recognize Trish for her exceptional songwriting ability for the song I Can Almost See Heaven. Trish competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When ask what inspired the song Trish commented, “While studying the book of Revelation one night the song began to come together”. Currently Trish is concentrating on her music career. She commented, “I hope to touch people all over the world with the uplifting message of hope and comfort found in my songs."
